Nicholas James Vujicic

Nicholas James Vujicic (born on 4 December 1982) is a preacher and motivational speaker -- born with Tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. He struggled as a child, eventually came to terms with his disability and started his own non-profit organization Life Without Limbs

We at EqualiTV International Foundation are sorry to advise you that our CEO Sheila Richardson has suffered a reverse in her health and was hospitalized last week and will be focusing on recovery and recuperation for the foreseeable future.

Featuring people with disabilities on TV is a powerful tool to fight persistent stigma. Only the CRTC can make sure it happens.

Far too often, the public image of people with disabilities has been that of pitiful recipients of charities and telethons. We rarely see people with disabilities in the media spotlight as anchors, reporters or performers in dramatic serials.

The same business has different language in different worlds

We would like nothing more than to be the equivalent of a YouTube on television with the Canadian government sponsoring productions still at our going rates. But a channel with disabilities cannot be a YouTube. A YouTube presumes the user is self-directed and has full access.
